Liberty Discount Fuel has provided residential and commercial heating oil, off road diesel and kerosene to our customers since 1994. Our company has offices in Pennsylvania: Bartonsville and Easton and in New Jersey: Flemington and Netcong.

We service over 20,000 customers throughout Pennsylvania (Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton & Pike Counties) and New Jersey (Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties). Our objective is to provide prompt delivery at affordable prices. We bring quality support to our customers and our community.

Can I send a check?

Liberty Discount Fuel is a C.O.D. company. Payment must be received when the driver makes the delivery (or before). We do not have a billing department. A customer can send in payments to accumulate credit in their account. However, they will be subject to the current price when they order oil.

What forms of payment can I use?

Liberty Discount Fuel accepts cash, checks, money orders, "PayPal", credit and debit cards (Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express). When ordering on-line, only "PayPal", credit and debit cards may be used. For any other form of payment, please call our office at 800 645-4747.

Do I need to sign a contract to purchase from Liberty Discount Fuel?

Liberty Discount Fuel is an on-demand company and does not require any obligation from its customers. Our customers purchase from us because they get prompt reliable deliveries at discounted prices... always and not just on the first delivery. Providing prompt courteous service is why customers stay loyal to Liberty Discount Fuel, not a signed contract.

Is there a minimum gallon delivery?

The minimum delivery is 150 gallons however, we will deliver as little as 80 gallons with a small surcharge of $40.00.

What time will the driver deliver?

It is difficult to specify a delivery time. Dispatch constraints, delivery issues, weather and traffic are all issues which could detain a driver. We do not want to promise a delivery time and not fulfill that promise. We hope you will understand. If payment is an issue, we accept credit and debit cards or you may call the office at 800 645-4747 to make other payment arrangements.

Can the driver call us before delivery?

Generally, we do not make arrangements for the driver to call customers prior to delivery. In the past, it has proven difficult for drivers to reach the customers. However if there are extenuating circumstances that would make delivery nearly impossible, the dispatcher may be willing to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

Can someone service my burner, furnace or boiler?

Liberty Discount Fuel is an "on-demand" company. We do not have a service department. Upon request, we can recommend service companies to perform this work. We receive no compensation for recommendations or work performed. These recommendations are from the feedback we get from customers like you. We urge you to research the suggested company. We will not be held responsible for the work they perform or payment by you to that company.

Does Liberty Discount Fuel offer budget, prepay, or automatic service programs?

Liberty Discount Fuel is an "on demand" company. Programs like these require you to sign commitment contracts. Other companies lure you in with a first time discount price but then have you sign a contract for one of their programs. We are able to continually offer prompt reliable discounted deliveries all year. You needn't sign any contracts or make an annual commitment.

Is there an additional discount for ordering large quantities?

Absolutely. Please call our office at 800 645-4747 when ordering 1,000 gallons or more.

Will Liberty Discount Fuel provide after hour emergency service?

In an effort to give you the best possible price, we do not offer after hour emergency deliveries. If a customer is out of oil, we will make every attempt to add them to the delivery schedule. Upon the discretion of the office and the availability of the driver, we will make a same day emergency delivery, not on our schedules route, for a $75.00 fee. The Rush delivery is generally delivered within 24 - 48 business hours.

What is the cancellation policy?

Customers may cancel their delivery at any time without penalty. If cancellation occurs when the driver arrives to make the delivery the company may impose a $50.00 service fee. Liberty Discount Fuel reserves the right to change the date of delivery due to inclement weather, shortage of staff or vehicle problems.

If the price goes down by the time I receive my delivery, will I get the lower price?

Liberty Discount Fuel will charge the price quoted when the order is placed.

Do you accept LIHEAP or heating assistance?

Liberty Discount Fuel accepts checks from LIHEAP or any other approved energy assistance programs. We also, accept, "promises to pay" from these organizations. Please call the office, 800 645-4747 to make payment arrangements or to inquire about these programs.

Does Liberty Discount Fuel sell other fuel products?

Liberty Discount Fuel sells heating oil, off road diesel, dyed diesel for generators and kerosene.

Does Liberty Discount Fuel deliver propane?

We no longer sell propane or propane tanks. Our propane division was sold in the spring of 2005.

Does Liberty Discount Fuel deliver kerosene?

Yes, Liberty Discount Fuel now sells kerosene. Please consult your local Liberty Discount Fuel office for a specific delivery day.

Does Liberty Discount Fuel deliver off-road diesel?

Yes, Liberty Discount Fuel now sells off-road diesel. Please consult your local Liberty Discount Fuel office for a specific delivery day. Heating oil is different than off-road diesel and cannot be sold or used as such.

Can I purchase an additive to treat my fuel?

Liberty Discount Fuel sells 16 ounce bottles of "Hot Shot". This is a fuel additive that when properly added, will prevent your fuel tank from gelling (good for outdoor tanks). It is also a deemulsifier which will treat for sludge in your tank. A 16 ounce bottle is recommended with a fill order on a 275 gallon tank.

Does the driver have attachments for fills?

The driver does have attachments for most fills, however, if you are aware of a special situation, please call the office and notify the customer service representative.

How long after ordering can I expect my delivery?

Orders are dispatched within 5 business days after receiving your order. However, please note that during high volume periods, especially during prolonged periods of cold weather or a forecast of snow and ice, it may be longer for delivery. During these periods, we recommend that you check your tank frequently and not allow the level of oil to get less than the 1/4 tank full. If a customer is out of oil, we will make every attempt to add them to the delivery schedule. Upon the discretion of the office and the availability of the driver, we will make a same day emergency delivery, not on our schedules route, for a $75.00 fee.

What are your hours?

Do you deliver in our area?

Please refer to our "Service Area" section to show a list of towns we service. In that section, click on the blue "click here" prompt which will enable you to enter your zip code. You will get a response as to whether or not we service your area. If we currently do not deliver to your area, please call our office at 800 645-4747 and speak to a customer service representative. We may be delivering to your area in the near future.

My mailing address and delivery address are different although they are in reality the same, what address do I provide?

When entering your information, you will be asked to provide both a delivery address and a mailing address. Although they may be the same location, please use the physical address for the delivery and your mailing address for where mail would be delivered. There is also a section for "Order Notes" that you may want to use to better communicate with the dispatcher and driver.

I'm having issues with buying online?

We encourage our customers to call the office. We have not cut back the number of service representatives as a result of this web site. This site is designed as a convenience to you. We love speaking with our customers and encourage you to call, especially when you are having problems with the ordering process. Please make sure you have filled in all the necessary information. If something is not complete or the web site does not understand the information given, it will not let you place the order. Review the information and confirm the information given is complete and accurate. If you are still having a problem, please call 800 645-4747.

I received a confirmation number but I did not receive the fuel?

Please call our office. We may have attempted to make the delivery but upon arrival, the driver questioned the information he received verses what he sees on the property. There may be other reasons the delivery was not made and attempts to reach you were not successful. We will not make a delivery if the driver believes that the delivery could ultimately end up as an oil spill. Your welfare and the welfare of your property is our concern. I received an oil delivery but my furnace will not start?

If you were out of oil, the furnace may have to be primed. If the driver is still at your location, he can try to prime the heater. This is a $55.00 fee but only if he is successful priming the heater. The driver is not a qualified service mechanic and is only capable of priming the burner. If a qualified technician is required, please call the office for a recommendation. We receive no compensation for recommendations or work performed.
